Bilingual Call Center Representative – Healthcare

Location: Bellaire, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Contract: 13-week contract with potential for extension or permanent hire

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Bilingual Call Center Representative (English/Spanish) to join a leading pediatric healthcare organization in the Bellaire, TX area. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional with call center, healthcare, managed care, or insurance experience.

Position Overview

The Bilingual Call Center Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for members and healthcare providers, assisting with questions and concerns related to eligibility, benefits, authorizations, claims, referrals, appointments, and other healthcare-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from healthcare members and providers and provide accurate, professional assistance.
• Research and resolve customer questions and concerns.
• Assist with eligibility, benefits, authorizations, claims, referrals, and appointment-related inquiries.
• Serve as a liaison and advocate for members and providers.
• Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely issue resolution.
• Verify caller identity before releasing protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Document calls, interactions, and resolutions accurately and promptly.
• Complete assigned work queues and follow-up tasks.
• Escalate complex issues to leadership when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of customer service experience within managed care or the insurance industry OR call center experience in any industry.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• General computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to type at least  35 WPM.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
