Support Technician 1 Job Summary Our client is seeking two Level 1 Support Technicians to assist with a computer and docking station refresh project. This role will support the day-to-day deployment, imaging, replacement, and migration of computers and user data. The selected candidates will work as part of a project team that includes a subject matter expert and project manager. The client will provide the processes and procedures used to complete the refresh work. Windows 11 technical support experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Image and prepare computers for deployment. Replace existing computers and docking stations. Migrate user data between devices. Install, maintain, move, test, and upgrade computer hardware and software. Troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals. Provide technical assistance and support for hardware and software issues. Document service activities, equipment changes, and completed work. Maintain appropriate security controls over software and systems. Assist users with system, application, and hardware questions. Support personal computers, printers, peripherals, and related equipment. Assist with accessing and transferring data between authorized databases and systems. Work collaboratively with technical staff, project management, and end users. Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience supporting personal computers, hardware, software, printers, and peripherals. At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, upgrading, or replacing computer systems and hardware. At least 1 year of experience providing technical assistance for hardware and software issues. Experience installing, maintaining, moving, testing, and upgrading hardware and software. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and WordPerfect. Knowledge of computer operations, information systems, hardware, software, and information security practices. Ability to troubleshoot personal computers, applications, and information systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service and work professionally with users and team members. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Ability to lift and relocate equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of Windows 11 technical support experience. Work Environment This position involves hands-on technical support and equipment deployment as part of a computer refresh initiative. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive hardware setup, equipment replacement, data migration, troubleshooting, and documentation activities while working within established client procedures.
