Chief Marketing Officer

Lead the company's overall marketing strategy, brand positioning, demand generation organization, and execution against business goals and the private equity investment thesis. Build a scalable, data-driven marketing engine that supports ARR growth, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, retention, market expansion, and long-term enterprise value. Partner with the CEO, Board, sales, product, and customer success leaders to align the marketing strategy with customer needs, market trends, commercial priorities, and growth opportunities. Drive marketing discipline across demand generation, brand, product marketing, digital marketing, content, communications, customer marketing, events, marketing operations, and analytics. Strengthen the marketing leadership team and broader organization while building a culture of accountability, creativity, experimentation, collaboration, and measurable execution. Develop clear market segmentation, positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategies, and competitive differentiation that improve brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion, and market share. Optimize customer acquisition economics and marketing effectiveness across CAC, LTV, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, channel performance, marketing ROI, and revenue attribution. Evaluate strategic growth opportunities, including new markets, new customer segments, channel partnerships, product launches, international expansion, M&A integration, and AI-enabled marketing capabilities. Serve as a trusted marketing and growth partner to the CEO, Board, private equity sponsor, employees, customers, partners, and key external stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Proven CMO, Chief Growth Officer, SVP Marketing, VP Marketing, or senior marketing executive experience within a high-growth SaaS, enterprise software, technology, or recurring revenue company. Experience scaling a recurring revenue business through demand generation, brand development, product marketing, customer acquisition, market expansion, and operational discipline. Private equity-backed company experience is strongly preferred. Strong strategic and commercial instincts with a track record of building scalable marketing organizations, increasing pipeline, improving customer acquisition efficiency, supporting ARR growth, and strengthening market positioning. Fluency across SaaS and marketing metrics, including ARR, pipeline, CAC, LTV, CAC payback, conversion rates, NRR, churn, marketing-sourced revenue, marketing-influenced revenue, EBITDA, and Rule of 40. Experience building predictable demand generation programs and partnering closely with sales leadership to improve pipeline quality, conversion, forecasting, and revenue growth. Experience partnering with CEOs, Boards, investors, and private equity sponsors. Exposure to M&A, brand integration, category creation, market expansion, pricing and packaging, transformation, AI-enabled marketing, or exit preparation is a plus. Experience scaling marketing organizations within businesses from 20M-100M ARR, with a proven track record of supporting growth, operational maturity, and successful exits. Leadership Style We're looking for a CMO who is strategic but hands-on, creative but highly analytical, and deeply commercially minded. This leader should bring clarity, urgency, customer insight, and operational discipline while building a marketing organization that can scale with the business.
