Description

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of recent, high-volume CVOR experience for a hospital operating room position.

Details

Work in a CVOR service line comprising 4-6 ORs, including an endovascular suite, depending on daily volume

Support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement, and adult ECMO

Participate in TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR

Assist with thoracic cases including laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures

Support vascular procedures ranging from ESRD graft/fistula placement or revision to endovascular procedures

Unit has capacity for up to four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass

Schedule includes 4 shifts weekly, 10:30am-9:00pm, typically Monday through Thursday based on department need

Participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of recent, full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting required

Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required

BLS certification from the AHA required

License required if applicable

Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without extensive onboarding

Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed are required

Additional Information

Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with minimal orientation

Candidates should be prepared to discuss extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date

Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
