Job Description Controller – Manufacturing Location: Palm Beach / Treasure Coast Area Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Compensation: Competitive Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits About the Opportunity An established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to executive leadership and partnering closely with operations to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on financial leader with strong manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems. This position offers the opportunity to influence business strategy while building scalable financial processes within a dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial modeling. Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Analyze production costs, labor efficiencies, material usage, and operational KPIs to support profitability. Partner with plant and operations leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes. Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors. Monitor capital expenditures and fixed asset accounting. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and ERP optimization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or CMA strongly preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller leadership role. Manufacturing industry experience required. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis. Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and cross‑functional partnership skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments. Experience supporting ISO‑certified manufacturing operations. Multi‑entity or multi‑location accounting experience.
