Senior Business Development Executive - Staffing

Commonwealth Science & Technology, Inc., founded in 2004, is a Boston area recruiting firm specializing in Science, IT and Engineering disciplines. We support direct hire and contract workforce needs. We are currently seeking a high energy, outgoing individual to join our growing team as Senior Business Development Manager. This role will focus on developing new business specifically in the Science, IT, Engineering, and DOD industries. Requirements: 3-5+ years of direct experience in agency staffing , specifically within Life Sciences, IT and/or Engineering Business Account Management/Business Development/Staffing. Experience working with large pharma, medical device, IT or DOD is preferred. Proven track record of client development , business growth, and profitability. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills . Highly confident, outgoing, and proactive personality. Strong sense of urgency and a disciplined work ethic. Demonstrated commitment to a long-term career in the staffing industry . Results-driven professional with a history of high performance and achievement . Responsibilities: Proven ability to drive business development through cold calling, email outreach, social selling, lead generation, networking, and relationship-building activities . Skilled at identifying, developing, and converting new client opportunities while maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective business. Comfortable leveraging multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and networking groups) to generate leads and expand market presence. Demonstrates a "Jack of All Trades" mindset , with the flexibility to balance sales, account management, client service, and recruiting responsibilities on a small team. Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot quickly, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing business demands . Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
