Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time Engagement

Position Overview

Revive Strength & Mobility Rehab Center is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this vital role, you will be more than just a clinician; you will be a key player in the journey of our patients towards optimal health and mobility. You will have the responsibility to assess, plan, and implement effective physical therapy interventions that improve the quality of life for individuals battling various physical challenges.

About the Organization

Revive Strength & Mobility Rehab Center is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Our spacious 5000 square-foot sports medicine environment is designed to foster healing and rehabilitation. We are a team-oriented practice, currently consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care to our patients. We primarily work with individuals holding private insurance, allowing us more flexibility to create tailored treatment plans that resonate with our patients' unique needs.

Work Environment

This position is strictly onsite, allowing for direct interaction and personalized care with our patients in a collaborative setting. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance. The environment is dynamic and energetic, with a focus on both patient engagement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patient needs and establish individual therapy goals that align with their functional abilities.
• Manage a patient load, typically treating one patient per hour, to ensure dedicated attention to each individual's rehabilitation journey.
• Implement effective and cost-efficient therapeutic modalities that improve patients' range of motion, strength, and overall mobility.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, ensuring each patient receives customized care.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their treatment process, encouraging adherence to prescribed exercises and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy assistants and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and progress in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust plans as necessary to remain aligned with patient goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Many of our clients are motivated individuals seeking to return to their active lifestyles, which requires an empathetic and encouraging approach. Understanding each patient's unique challenges and being a supportive ally throughout their recovery process is paramount. Your expertise will contribute significantly to their successful rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure candidates have the requisite knowledge and skills.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no board or disciplinary actions on your record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques that can enhance patient outcomes.
• Proven ability to design and implement targeted exercise programs that facilitate recovery and promote wellness.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient record management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting will be highly regarded, particularly if paired with a strong understanding of evidence-based practice.
• Experience working in a collaborative healthcare environment is beneficial, as it enhances integrated patient care.
• A background in sports medicine and the application of therapeutic interventions for athletic populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
