• Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (4 days/week one week, 3 days/week the next)

• License/Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care; Telemetry/Cardiac care experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality care to adult patients in a new Medical-Surgical/telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, respond to cardiac events
• Administer medications including IVs, JP drains, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
• Support patient recovery following surgeries such as total joint replacements and GI procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Meditech Expanse)
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout your shift

What You Need

• Current valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital RN experience in acute care/telemetry
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
• Strong wound management skills including care of JP drains, wound vacs, and IVs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to float within Med-Surg units and work a flexible schedule
