Billing Clerk

Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77064 Salary Range: $13.00 - $17.00 Hourly The role We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to handle invoicing for our SWPPP division. No billing experience is required — we will train you. If you are organized, careful with numbers, comfortable on a computer, and take pride in getting things right the first time, you can succeed in this role. This is a great first step into an accounting or construction-office career, with room to grow as you learn. What you’ll do Prepare and send customer invoices for completed work — accurately and on time Enter billing information into our accounting system and customer billing portals Upload invoices and supporting paperwork to builder and general contractor payment systems Track which jobs have been billed and follow up on missing information from field supervisors Prepare simple supporting documents such as lien waivers using our templates (we’ll teach you) Keep billing files organized and up to date Answer basic billing questions from customers by email and phone Help with general office and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED Detail-oriented — you catch mistakes before they go out the door Comfortable with computers; basic Microsoft Excel skills (we’ll build on them) Organized and dependable — deadlines matter in this role Good written and verbal communication skills A positive, team-first attitude Bonus points (not required) Any office, data entry, invoicing, or bookkeeping experience Construction pay application experience (AIA G702/G703 or similar) Familiarity with lien waivers or retainage billing Experience with QuickBooks or any accounting software Bilingual English/Spanish Pay & benefits $13.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on experience Full-time, steady weekday schedule — no nights or weekends Paid training — no billing experience required Paid time off and paid holidays Medical benefits available Room to grow into higher-level billing and accounting roles as you learn Position type & location This is a full-time, on-site position at our Houston office.
