Adjunct/Part Time Faculty; Music

Position Overview Adjunct/Part‑time Faculty – Music. Temporary teaching position available for the Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities Develop and update course syllabus. Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments. Teach all scheduled class periods. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours. Grade student assignments and exams promptly. Submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades per university regulations. Qualifications Teaching faculty for undergraduate courses: Doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline. Teaching faculty for graduate courses: Earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. UNC Charlotte primary consideration is to the highest earned degree in the discipline. Other factors considered include competence, effectiveness, and capacity, related work experience, professional licensure and certifications, honors, continuous documented excellence in teaching, and other demonstrated competencies and achievements.
