Project Administrator

Overview What we’re looking for at HNTB: you can build a career that is meaningful while contributing to community impact. This role involves coordinating and monitoring overall field construction administration activities and/or management engineering services on projects up to $10M in construction value, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, budget, and schedule. Responsibilities Develop project scope and fee quotation, assist in technical proposals and contracts, coordinate project activities and staff, prepare summary inspection reports of daily activities, monitor contractor progress, resolve technical field issues, coordinate with architects and engineers, oversee project controls, review submittals for plan and specification conformance, develop submittal strategies, implement the firm’s project delivery plan, lead development and execution of the project management plan, supervise and mentor the team, identify and resolve non‑compliant work, enforce contract plans and specifications, confirm and negotiate change orders, control costs and quality, partner with Client Service Leaders for business development, assist in proposal development and presentations, and recruit and retain construction staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and 8 years relevant experience, or 12 years relevant experience in lieu of education. Performance Expectations Consistently deliver on‑time, on‑budget, quality, and client satisfaction (“4‑for‑4”) on smaller projects. Identify and address risk and change management issues, escalating as necessary. Lead a smaller project or task order team with minimal or no subconsultants. Use system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver smaller projects or task orders. Interface with client‑level peers on smaller projects or task orders and provide technical guidance to team leads. Preferred Experience 9 years relevant experience, or 13 years in lieu of education. Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) LevelIII.
