Work Environment

Situated in beautiful North Fort Myers, our rehabilitation facility provides a state-of-the-art setting that fosters recovery and healing. Our onsite work environment encourages teamwork, where therapists collaborate to develop effective treatment plans. With a strong focus on patient engagement and community connection, you will find a supportive atmosphere where your skills and contributions are valued. Normal working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and fulfill patients' goals and rehabilitation needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a personalized patient load, typically one patient per hour, to provide focused treatment.
• Implement diverse therapeutic modalities to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Develop tailored treatment plans incorporating stretching, strengthening exercises, and functional training.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques when appropriate to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Actively monitor progress, make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, and communicate effectively with patients.
• Educate patients on techniques to minimize medication reliance and explore non-surgical options.
• Document progress and treatment outcomes meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Encourage patient motivation through ongoing support and guidance to promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other health professionals, to ensure coordinated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic and rehabilitation patients, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our facility values a patient-centered approach, focusing on individual needs, whether for post-operative recovery, sports rehabilitation, or chronic pain management. You will foster lasting relationships with clients, aiding them in overcoming their challenges to achieve optimal functionality.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Compliance with all licensing regulations, with no record of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Experience with EMR systems, especially WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, showcasing the ability to provide both high-quality patient care and effective treatment strategies. Familiarity with various rehabilitation practices will enhance your contributions to our team.

Compensation and Benefits
