Work Environment

Located in North Fort Myers, our rehabilitation center offers a welcoming and supportive environment where teamwork and collaboration are paramount. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and resources that clinicians can utilize to enhance patient recovery. The physical therapist role demands a strong on-site presence, working directly with patients in our modern clinic from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories and performing comprehensive assessments to determine an effective treatment plan tailored to individual functional limitations and disabilities.

• Adhere to state practice acts and regulations while supervising support staff and implementing established protocols in patient sessions.

• Document patient interactions accurately and promptly in compliance with the latest healthcare standards, ensuring clarity in initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge plans.

• Actively monitor and assess patients' progress during treatment sessions, adjusting care plans in consultation with interdisciplinary team members when necessary.

• Engage in effective communication with patients and their families regarding treatment goals and expected outcomes, fostering a supportive and empowering therapeutic relationship.

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the optimization of patient access and overall therapy outcomes.

• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to identify and overcome barriers to patient access and success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with are primarily adults with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and age-related degenerative issues. Your expertise will directly impact their pain management and functional recovery, enhancing their quality of life and aiding them in returning to their daily activities. Through compassionate care and evidence-based practices, you will help empower individuals on their health journeys.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

While the required experience is two years, candidates with advanced clinical education, specialized certifications in orthopedic therapy, or experience in comprehensive rehabilitation approaches will be favored. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and outcome measurement tools is also advantageous.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.
