Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of experience required in ICU; 4 years preferred License: California RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Trauma Level I experience required Skills in ventilator management, central line care, and care of ventilated patients Ability to interpret arterial blood gases Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in ICU. Candidates must possess a valid California RN license. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. A minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is necessary, with 4 years preferred. Charge experience is preferred, and knowledge of the Epic charting system is required. Experience in a Trauma Level I setting is also required. Candidates must be proficient in skills such as arterial line management and ventilator management. This position involves caring for acute and chronic renal failure patients. Additional relevant skills include management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates should be comfortable with procedures such as chest tube insertion and blood product administration. Weekend rotation is required, and floating to other units may be necessary as needed.
