Human Resources Assistant

Job Description Job Description Position Overview The HR Assistant supports day-to-day human resources operations and administrative functions. This position serves as an associate contact for basic employee inquiries, manages personnel records, coordinates recruitment and onboarding logistics. The ideal candidate maintains high standards of confidentiality, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and delivers reliable administrative support across all HR functions. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Record Keeping Maintain, update, and audit accurate electronic and paper personnel files in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Administer the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity for employee status changes, compensation, and general information. Prepare standardized HR documentation, and employment verification letters. Recruitment & Onboarding Logistics Post open requisitions on job boards, i.e. WECAN, Zip Recruiter and/or Indeed. career portals. Assist with coordinating pre-employment background checks, drug screenings, and reference checks. Prepare onboarding materials, and process new-hire paperwork, and serve as a back-up for new hire orientation sessions. Assist with coordinating annual job fair events. Assist with annual open enrollment by distributing communications, tracking submissions, and auditing election data. HR Operations & Compliance Support compliance reporting activities (e.g., OSHA logs, EEO-1 reporting, I-9 audits). Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive workforce data, salary information, and employee relations issues.
