Call Center Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a bilingual Call Center Representative for a temp-to-hire, hybrid opportunity in San Juan, PR within the healthcare services industry. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping patients, managing appointment needs, and providing accurate support in a fast-paced call center environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound and outbound calls to identify patient needs, answer questions, and provide appropriate support.
- Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments while maintaining accurate records.
- Enter, update, and verify patient information, demographics, insurance eligibility, consent forms, and payer sources.
- Create new patient accounts, import registration documents, and document all interactions in the appropriate systems.
- Transfer calls or relay messages to physicians, nurses, or other internal teams as needed.
- Maintain quality, productivity, and confidentiality standards while resolving caller inquiries and escalating issues when necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $13.50 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: San Juan, PR. (Hybrid)
- Schedule: 40-hour workweek during standard operating hours, Monday through Sunday, between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
- This is a 24/7 operational environment that may include weekends, holidays, overtime based on business needs, and Daylight Saving Time changes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 1+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, or Google Sheets.
- Ability to learn and navigate complex computer systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document interactions and resolutions accurately.
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour workweek within the required operating schedule, including potential weekends, holidays, and overtime.
