We are in search of a highly motivated Accounting Receivable Specialist to work in our Winston-Salem, NC office. Job Responsibilities Actively work the AR Aging report to ensure timely customer payments, reaching out to customers in a variety of ways in order to manage past due payments. Perform continual customer review and collections work to ensure all customer invoices are paid, taking full ownership of the process. Assist with reviewing orders on credit hold for release/processing or decision to hold, performing all necessary follow through actions. Assist with setting up new customers in the ERP system. Monitor customer master files for payment terms, short-pays, unapplied funds, sales tax discrepancies and on-account credits. Monitor customer master files for adherence to payment terms. Monitor customer master files for accurate contact information. Ensure sales tax exemption forms are properly executed for all customers across multiple states. Ensure proper sales tax codes on all remit-to and ship-to locations. Maintain accurate records through ongoing self-audit. Serve as backup for recording customer payments in the ERP system and the bank. Work with complete confidentiality as fiduciary of customer and sales information. Provide other assistance as needed for the Controller’s Office. Skills and Qualifications Ability to take multiple inputs & make analytical assessments of actions needed. Strong decision-making skills. Must be able to organize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work performed. Position requires daily contact with external customers, as well as internal sales reps and upper management, and therefore must excel in written & verbal communication. Basic knowledge of MS-Excel. Education and Experience 1-2 years experience in a decision-making role in a customer-facing environment. 1-2 years experience in roles requiring analytical thinking. 1-2 years experience in roles requiring mathematical computations.
