Baggage Service Agent
A Baggage Agent plays a crucial role in the aviation and travel industry, ensuring that passengers' luggage is handled with care and efficiency from check-in to final destination. In instances of lost or delayed baggage, Baggage Agents work diligently to locate and reunite passengers with their belongings, often coordinating with different airline personnel and using tracking systems to expedite the process. Baggage Agent Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist passengers with luggage check-in and retrieval
- Tag and label luggage for accurate identification
- Coordinate the transfer of luggage between flights
- Resolve passenger complaints related to lost, damaged, or delayed baggage
- Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations
- Operate baggage handling machinery and equipment
- Communicate with other airport departments to ensure efficient baggage handling
- Maintain records and documentation for baggage transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Conduct inspections for oversized or unusual items
Baggage Agent Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Familiarity with airport operations and procedures
- Experience with baggage handling systems and equipment
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or GED

- Ability to lift and move heavy luggage
