ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care in a dynamic environment focused on critically ill patients.

Schedule Details

If you accept a rotating contract, you may be scheduled for day shifts, night shifts, or a combination of both based on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, with changes based on staffing priorities.

The most common diagnoses include:

• Oncologic Emergencies
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Pneumonia
• Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
• Gastrointestinal Bleed
• Neuromuscular Disease
• Drug Overdose
• Consequences of Oncologic Treatment
• Pulmonary Hypertension
• Autoimmune Disorders
• Sepsis

Special Procedures/Unit Details

Common treatments for hemodynamically compromised patients include:

• Mechanical Ventilation
• Pulmonary Artery Catheter Placement
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Arterial Pressure Monitoring
• Cardiac Monitoring
• Chest Tubes
• Central Venous Catheters
• Chemotherapy Administration
• Complex Medication Regimens
• Clinical Trials
• Plasmapheresis

Many patients will also have underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions that may require bronchoscopy or endoscopy.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH)

Skills Required

• Ventilator Management
• IV Starts

Computerized Charting

Experience with computerized charting using EPIC is required.
