Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly demographics using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Tailor individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, language, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions addressing areas like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring cohesion in patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation in compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational standards.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in speech therapy through continuous learning and peer discussion.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
