Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Calm Harbor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting one-on-one supportive therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, under the supervision of nursing staff, effectively addressing the unique therapeutic needs of each client.

• Providing regular observation and detailed documentation of patient behaviors and progress, ensuring all information is communicated clearly and accurately within the electronic health record system.

• Orienting patients and their families to the therapeutic process, offering them guidance and reassurance as they navigate their treatment plans.

• Assisting clients with personal needs related to their mental health care, including crisis management and emergency interventions as required.

• Writing clear and concise progress notes at the conclusion of each session to reflect the patient's progression towards their treatment goals and updating care plans accordingly.

• Advocating for necessary services and resources for your assigned patients, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care they deserve.

• Identifying and reporting any significant changes in patient behavior or symptoms to the appropriate nursing staff to inform care adjustments.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• An independent state-issued license, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses will not be accepted.

• Demonstrated ability to provide professional evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation tailored to individual patient needs.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with a sympathetic and patient-centered approach.

• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in electronic health records and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n
