Work Environment\n

The work setting for this position is entirely remote, enabling a flexible schedule that can accommodate individual preferences. Counselors have the choice to select their hours within a 40-hour work week, primarily operating Monday through Friday, with some availability for weekend sessions as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Perform crisis intervention and assessments for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.

• Utilize electronic health record systems to document care, complete statistical reports, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Coordinate with various healthcare professionals, including the Department of Correction, to secure appropriate treatment and resources for clients.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions focusing on mental health support and skills development, fostering a safe space for peer interactions.
\n
• Attend clinical supervision sessions regularly to enhance expertise and maintain professional growth.
\n
• Participate in mental health rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary treatment planning to ensure comprehensive care.

• Possibly undertake psychological testing and supervise interns or volunteers as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients we serve at Valiant Mind Counseling Center include individuals grappling with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Possession of a current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to connect with clients virtually.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, applicants with prior experience in telehealth counseling or working with diverse populations will be at an advantage. Experience in crisis intervention or group therapy facilitation is particularly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
