Property Accountant | Synectics Inc. The Tone: This is a full-time role at Synectics Inc., located in Pensacola, FL. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of accounting records for these properties. Your contribution ensures compliance with GAAP, supports essential financial reporting, and underpins the overall financial health of our real estate ventures. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person Pensacola, FL Mission: Owns ensuring accurate accounting records and supporting the financial operations of a portfolio of real estate properties. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Yardi (or similar property accounting software) What You’ll Actually Do Perform all necessary month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the property portfolio. Prepare precise bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Process Accounts Payable efficiently and prepare essential journal entries for various transactions. Generate comprehensive financial reports, conduct cash flow analyses, and provide support for budgeting processes. Analyze tenant receivables thoroughly and maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP. The Must-Haves Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is preferred for this early career role. Experience: Requires 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a preference for prior property accounting experience. Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
