Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

InCore Physical Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist for a full-time role in our Waldwick, New Jersey outpatient office. In this position, you will play a critical role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. Your work will involve creating individualized treatment plans that aim to restore mobility, enhance strength, and significantly improve the overall quality of life for our patients.

Work Environment

The role is situated in an onsite outpatient office that features state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and a welcoming atmosphere for patients. Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment, conducive to both patient rehabilitation and therapist interaction. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions and movement capabilities using advanced assessment techniques.
• Develop and implement effective, personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical assessments and individual goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, rehabilitation protocols, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support sustained health.
• Monitor each patient's progress closely and make adjustments to treatment plans based on real-time feedback and results.
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements and evidence-based practices in physical therapy to bring innovative methods of treatment to the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Our diverse client population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals, all requiring specialized rehabilitation approaches tailored to their unique needs. You will have the opportunity to impact each patient's recovery journey by providing compassionate and effective therapy.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of New Jersey.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with preference for candidates holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited institution.
• Strong foundational knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy principles and practices.
• Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, specifically in orthopedics.
• Experience managing a patient volume of approximately 2 patients per hour, ensuring personalized care and attention.
• A track record of successful patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Prior experience in collaborative healthcare settings to ensure continuity of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
