About the CompanyOur client is an AI-native platform automating the entire wholesale order-to-cash lifecycle for CPG brands — replacing spreadsheets, email chains, and manual data entry with autonomous workflows spanning purchase-order ingestion, freight coordination, invoicing, and payment reconciliation. Wholesale is roughly 7x the size of e-commerce, yet the infrastructure is decades behind; the client is building the agentic operating system for it. The product is live with fast-growing CPG brands and has processed $500M+ in annualized wholesale volume.

The RoleThe client is hiring a Founding Full Stack Engineer to own the core platform powering its AI agents and customer experience. The moat isn't the model — it's the scaffolding: the software infrastructure that connects AI to real-world systems (ERPs, 3PLs, retailers, freight partners) with real-world reliability. Downtime means missed shipments and chargebacks for real brands, so the stakes — and the ownership — are real.
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, React (Supabase / Next.js a plus).
Requirements- 2 to 5 years of software engineering, ideally including time at a high-agency startup where you owned product work end to end
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
- Postgres for data modeling and query performance
- Full-stack capability, including React for customer-facing product surfaces
- Comfortable with event-driven patterns — webhooks, async workflows, integrations that keep external systems in sync
- A big-tech-then-startup arc: left a FAANG or scaled company to join something early and shipped real product ownership there
- A background in logistics, supply chain, freight, or CPG-adjacent software (e.g., Flexport is a clear signal)
- Has built mission-critical backend systems where reliability and observability actually mattered
- Experience with AI-agent infrastructure or event-driven pipelines in production
- A customer-facing engineering instinct — talks to users and cares about both developer and operator experience
- Real founding-engineer ownership: own the core platform powering the AI agents and customer experience, working directly with the two co-founders every day
- Live product, real traction: already live with fast-growing CPG brands and $500M+ in annualized wholesale volume
- A greenfield market: wholesale is ~7x e-commerce but stuck on 1990s infrastructure — a genuinely under-built market in which to define the agentic OS
