Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your role will encompass a range of vital responsibilities:

• Direct the design and implementation of customized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and developing functional muscle capacity.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of each client's abilities using a variety of diagnostic tests related to the muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assess clients' home environments to provide recommendations that enhance independence and daily living abilities.
• Guide and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of care plans, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and legal regulations.
• Administer various treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage techniques.
• Regularly document clinical findings, treatment progress, and patient responses to therapy, ensuring accurate clinical records that comply with federal and state regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to comprehensive care planning and evaluating client progress.
• Maintain timely communication with clients' families and other healthcare professionals, serving as an advocate for the client's therapeutic needs.
• Instruct clients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and the proper use of therapeutic devices, fostering a deeper understanding of the therapy process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Compensation and Benefits
