Administrative Program Specialist A

We’re looking for an Administrative Program Specialist A to join our Supply Unit—a proactive, people-focused team working to attract and support the talent that drives our mission forward. The Supply Unit plays a key role in managing the LSP supply for all troopers, investigators, WAE’s and DPS officers. This position works closely with vendors, Troopers, Senior Command Staff. Experience Requirements Three years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties This position is a combination of two positions. It is responsible for multiple functions including Armorer, Purchasing Administrator, and Property Control, as well as the Captain's assistant. It manages stocking and distribution of all uniforms and related supplies for all LSP/DPS uniformed services. It assists with numerous administrative duties most of which require independent judgment; it assists in the development of future expenditure requirements. Purchasing and Procurement Property Control Administrative Support Work in a warehouse Position-Specific Details Appointment Type: Job Appointment Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
