About the Position

The unit comprises 17 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Patients are received from various sources including Emergency Departments and other healthcare facilities. The unit handles a wide range of medical diagnoses such as diabetes, respiratory conditions, and wound care. Nurses may work 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend shift is required, along with two out of three winter holidays. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. A robust team of interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Nurses are expected to participate in interdisciplinary rounding to discuss care plans.
