Job Description

A 13-week pharmacist assignment is available at a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA, with an immediate start date. This contract role requires managing medication therapies and supporting clinical operations in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and performing pharmacokinetic calculations. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems will support effective workflow and patient safety.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Rotating schedules with possible shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Louisiana pharmacist license
  • Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
