Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity

A 200+ bed community hospital in Pineville, LA is seeking a clinical pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This is a 13-week contract position with an ASAP start, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize your pharmaceutical expertise in a dynamic, hospital-based setting.

Location: Pineville, LA

Type: Contract 13 weeks

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Rotating schedule with variable shifts such as 6 AM-4:30 PM, 7 AM-5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM-11 PM
  • Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and patient safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide clinical consultations
  • Manage pharmacokinetics and other specialized clinical pharmacy duties
  • Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly desirable
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
