Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity involves practicing as a Clinical Pharmacist in a well-established 200+ bed community hospital setting. The role requires delivering expert pharmacy services including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses, and managing pharmacokinetics to optimize patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to offer clinical consultation
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to tailor medication therapies appropriately
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current pharmacist license with good standing
  • Solid background in clinical pharmacy and drug therapy management
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
  • Ability to lead technician workflow and engage in interprofessional communication
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Schedule and Location:

  • Located in Pollock, LA (near Alexandria)
  • 13-week assignment with an ASAP start
  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
  • Rotating schedules: 6AM-4:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 12:30PM-11PM
  • Every other weekend coverage
