Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility located in Chester, Virginia. This onsite setting encourages direct interaction with patients, along with collaboration with other healthcare providers. Our clinic features modern rehabilitation equipment and resources, providing you with the tools necessary to implement innovative treatment modalities and enhance patient outcomes. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans targeting specific musculoskeletal issues.
• Utilize advanced hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to alleviate pain and restore physical function.
• Design and implement rehabilitation programs focused on recovery from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various chronic conditions, tailoring each program to the patient's needs.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, orthopedic specialists, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care and continuity in treatment.
• Diligently maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating a diverse outpatient clientele, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation, and patients managing chronic orthopedic conditions. The ability to connect with and motivate patients is crucial, as you will help them navigate their healing journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Virginia license to practice physical therapy in good standing.
• Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and various therapeutic modalities is highly desirable.
• A history of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
