Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing services to clients in the comfort of their homes, allowing for a personalized and convenient therapy experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests, including muscle, nerve, and joint assessments, to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of physical therapy techniques aimed at developing and restoring muscle function, preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing mobility, closely aligning with each client's capabilities.
• Oversee and guide the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective delivery of therapies as outlined in the established plan of care.
• Evaluate clients' home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate independence and overall rehabilitation efforts.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other treatments involving physical agents while providing instruction and motivation to clients during the rehabilitation process.
• Participate actively in the development and revision of care plans, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor and adjust therapy as needed, addressing any changes in clients' conditions effectively and efficiently.
• Educate clients and their families regarding their physical therapy program and the use of therapeutic devices, supporting them in all aspects of their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on clients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal system. As a member of our team, you will work with a diverse population, helping to improve their functional abilities and overall quality of life through effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly with orthopedic cases.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with documentation and regulatory requirements in a home care environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team framework.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
