Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Physio Recovery Center in Richmond, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their journey to recovery. Your primary focus will be on restoring movement and enhancing overall functionality, ensuring that each patient achieves their personal best. Physio Recovery Center is an established outpatient physical therapy practice located in Richmond, Virginia. Our facility encompasses a cutting-edge 5,000-square-foot sports medicine space, equipped to handle a wide range of rehabilitation needs. We take pride in our patient-centered approach, working primarily with private medical insurance carriers to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of care. Our team is comprised of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, all committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative treatment environment.

Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our spacious outpatient office, where you will interact directly with patients in a vibrant, engaging atmosphere. Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. This role involves interacting closely with both your colleagues and patients, ensuring that care is continuous and holistic. Your teamwork will be essential in adapting treatment plans and sharing insights to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to identify individual patient needs and goals.
• Deliver care to 2-3 patients per hour, employing evidence-based practices tailored to each unique case.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Offer cost-effective interventions that improve mobility and decrease the likelihood of surgery.
• Motivate and educate patients about their role in the rehabilitation process to foster optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously using EMR software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle for clients by enhancing their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall wellness.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies as necessary to achieve best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse range of orthopedic cases, focusing on rehabilitation from sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain management. Understanding the unique backgrounds and needs of each patient will be crucial as you tailor your approach to their specific goals and lifestyles.

Qualifications

• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia with no disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in implementing treatment plans that yield positive patient outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education and engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
