This role is essential for supporting our patients' journeys toward enhanced mobility and functional recovery. You will provide key physical therapy services, encompassing evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies aimed at improving patients' quality of life and movement capabilities, all within a compassionate environment.

Our case approach emphasizes individualized patient care, and our small team of physical therapists works closely with one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to ensure that every patient receives the personalized attention they deserve. We predominantly serve patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to tailor our services uniquely to their needs and preferences.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Richmond, VA location. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork. The practice operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life experience while ensuring our patients receive consistent and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center, you will:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify functional limitations and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring effective and efficient treatment delivery.
• Utilize diverse therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in developing care plans that are tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implement exercise regimens that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care, including consultations with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Continuously assess treatment efficacy by monitoring progress and adjusting care plans as needed, maintaining meticulous documentation in EMR software platforms such as WebPT.
• Educate and motivate patients to participate actively in their rehabilitation, promoting long-term wellness and lifestyles.
• Advocate for non-pharmacological therapies, reducing reliance on medications or invasive surgical options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our practice focuses on a diverse patient demographic, ranging from athletes to everyday individuals seeking to improve their physical capabilities. Your role will emphasize patient engagement and empowerment, motivating clients towards their recovery goals through personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based approaches to treatment.
• Familiarity with the latest EMR software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating successful clinical outcomes.
• Expertise in developing tailored exercise programs and rehabilitation plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, continuing education reimbursement, and retirement plan options.
