Stalwart Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing in-home care to patients. Our home care setting allows therapists to create a comfortable and tailored environment for each patient, which can significantly enhance the rehabilitation process. You will work standard hours from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours a week, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations on patients referred for orthopedic rehabilitation, assessing their condition and functional needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with physicians' directives, making necessary adjustments based on patient progress.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities that are evidence-based and research-backed.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and rehabilitation goals.
• Document all treatments, progress, and assessments accurately and timely in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to overall care effectiveness.
• Foster a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be a diverse client base that includes orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or injuries, pediatric patients with developmental challenges, and those requiring rehabilitation for neurological conditions. You will also engage with sports medicine patients looking to regain strength and mobility. Each patient presents unique needs, requiring you to adapt your approach and methods accordingly.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy State License to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
• Competency with computer systems and experience in word processing.
• A genuine passion for helping people exceed their functional goals by building strong patient relationships.
• A proactive approach to connecting positively with patients as well as within the community.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in a home care environment or a physical therapy clinic specializing in orthopedics, pediatrics, or neurological rehabilitation will be advantageous. Familiarity with evidence-based practice and the latest therapy techniques is a plus, as is experience in community outreach or education.

Compensation and Benefits
