Work Environment

Located in the heart of Richmond, our facility is designed to foster collaboration and a sense of community among staff and patients alike. The outpatient office setting allows you to interact directly with patients and their families, building rapport and trust as you guide them through their rehabilitation journey. You will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, ensuring seamless communication and care delivery. The schedule will generally run Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts on weekends to provide quality coverage and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess physical limitations and develop tailored treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
• Set specific, measurable goals for patient outcomes and regularly assess progress toward these goals, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, using professional terminology to justify care and facilitate billing.
• Provide guidance and support to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel in delivering quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate care and optimize treatment approaches.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to creating a positive atmosphere that encourages learning and growth among staff.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy methodologies, integrating new techniques into your practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Heartfelt Life Insights Center, you will work closely with patients recovering from various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, stroke, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Our patient population varies from young adults to seniors, providing a rich and diverse environment to apply your skills and contribute meaningfully to their recovery processes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills are required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally within an outpatient facility.
• Experience working with a diverse patient demographic and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and technologies.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus, as you will be guiding and coaching support personnel.

Compensation and Benefits
