Procurement Assistant – Accounting Focus
Looking to get your foot in the door in procurement, purchasing, or accounting? We’re looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support purchasing and accounting-related activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, invoices, spreadsheets, and detailed records while also learning the purchasing process.
You’ll work with vendors and internal teams to help keep purchasing records accurate, invoices and pricing organized, and orders moving smoothly. Previous procurement or accounting experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person.
Pay: $19.04/hr.
Shift: 8:00am–4:30pm
What You’ll Do
- Assist with preparing and processing purchase orders
- Review invoices, pricing, and purchasing information for accuracy
- Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving information
- Enter and maintain purchasing and accounting data in company systems
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, invoices, and delivery dates
- Request quotes and gather pricing information from suppliers
- Track orders, deliveries, invoices, and outstanding items
- Help maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and financial records
- Use Microsoft Excel and company systems to track purchasing and accounting information
- Assist with inventory and materials records
- Help identify and resolve basic invoice, pricing, purchasing, or delivery discrepancies
- Work with other departments to ensure purchasing information is accurate and materials are available when needed
- Learn and follow company purchasing and accounting procedures
