Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans that address orthopedic conditions.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, continuously assessing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of treatment sessions, including progress notes and patient interactions, while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
• Engage in collaborative consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss patient care continuity.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives such as community outreach and program development.
• Oversee support staff, offering guidance and training to ensure effective service delivery in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who experience a variety of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your commitment to treating patients from diverse backgrounds, regardless of age or culture, will be key in establishing trust and fostering recovery. You will engage with patients through personalized education and motivational strategies to empower them in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• State Licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting patient care processes.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly those who have demonstrated success in treating complex musculoskeletal issues. Additional certifications in specialized treatment modalities such as manual therapy or dry needling may also be beneficial.
