Work Environment

This is an onsite position focused on home care, providing you with the unique opportunity to work directly within patients' living environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical cases, and sports-related injuries to determine the appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs and functional goals, adjusting strategies as necessary based on patient progress.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training, to promote strength and mobility among patients.
• Educate patients and their families on proper movement mechanics, home exercise protocols, and injury prevention strategies to encourage active participation in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate effectively with orthopedic physicians and other medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care.
• Maintain up-to-date and detailed patient records using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring that all patient data is accurately documented and accessible for treatment continuity.
• Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy, continually honing skills and knowledge to improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be elderly patients who may be experiencing mobility challenges due to various orthopedic issues, chronic conditions, or recovering from surgical interventions. Your expertise will empower them to regain independence and improve their overall quality of life. You will work with a diverse patient population, appreciating their unique backgrounds and fostering respectful and effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• 2 years of experience in the field, demonstrating ability in patient assessment and treatment design.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in developing patient-specific treatment modalities and adapting approaches based on individual progress.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
