Sanitation Area Manager

The Area Manager oversees multiple customer sites within a defined geographic region or operating group. This leader is responsible for ensuring Fayette’s Site Managers deliver consistent service, strong customer relationships, sound financial performance, and compliance with company, safety, and food safety standards. The Area Manager develops site leadership, drives operational consistency, supports problem-solving, and ensures Fayette’s service model is executed effectively across all assigned locations. Key Responsibilities Oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring each location meets Fayette standards for sanitation, food safety, safety, staffing, and customer service Lead, coach, and develop Site Managers to improve execution, leadership effectiveness, and accountability Review site-level labor, productivity, overtime, supply, and chemical performance to improve margin and operational efficiency Conduct regular site visits, audits, and business reviews to identify risks, validate standards, and support continuous improvement Partner with customer leadership at the plant level to resolve issues, strengthen relationships, and identify opportunities for growth Assist with staffing strategy, recruiting support, leadership succession, and team stabilization at sites experiencing turnover or operational challenges Support incident investigations, customer complaints, food safety events, and operational escalations with urgency and professionalism Ensure Site Managers maintain strong documentation, training completion, compliance processes, and reporting accuracy Collaborate with HR, Safety, Technical Services, QA support, and senior operations leadership to drive site performance Participate in new account startups, transitions, special projects, and turnaround efforts as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent operational leadership experience 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, industrial services, or multi‑site operation Proven experience managing managers and leading multiple locations or department Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage labor models, budgets, and site-level profitability Strong customer relationship and conflict‑resolution skills Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation systems, regulatory expectations, and safety program Ability to travel regularly between assigned location Preferred Qualifications Multi‑site food plant sanitation leadership experience Experience in startup, turnaround, or high‑growth operation Strong coaching and talent development background Bilingual English/Spanish preferred where applicable Success Metrics Regional labor and margin performance Site Manager development and retention Customer retention and satisfaction Audit and food safety performance Safety results across assigned sites Stability of staffing and operational execution #J-18808-Ljbffr Fayette Industrial Sanitation Solutions
