The Role

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving incoming materials and shipping outbound orders accurately, safely, and on schedule. This position plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing and fulfillment operations by keeping material moving - from the dock to stock, and from the floor to the customer - accurately and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Receive inbound shipments; unload trucks and verify contents against packing lists and purchase orders.

* Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and record receipts accurately in the inventory system.

* Move received materials to stock, staging, or production areas promptly and safely (dock-to-stock).

* Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders according to pick lists, shipping instructions, and customer requirements.

* Prepare shipping documentation - packing slips, carrier labels, and bills of lading - accurately and completely.

* Coordinate with carriers and freight providers on pickups and ensure shipments leave on time.

* Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment safely and effectively.

* Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy and reconciliation.

* Keep dock, staging, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards. Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and standard operating procedures.

* Work collaboratively with supervisors, production, quality, and logistics team members.

* Assist with other warehouse or manufacturing duties as assigned.

Requirements

* High school diploma or GED preferred.

* Previous shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred but not required.

* Ability to read and follow written work instructions, packing lists, and shipping documents.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate counts, records, and documentation.

* Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) and experience with RF scanners or ERP/WMS systems a plus.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

* Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.

* Ability to read labels, part numbers, and shipping documents accurately.

Work Environment
* Warehouse, dock, and production floor environment.

* Regular exposure to material-handling equipment, carrier trucks, and moving pallets.

* Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the work area.

* Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet shipping demands.
