CV PICU RN Start date: 8/10 or 8/24 Shift: 3x12s or 4x12s Nights RTO: 7 days MAX First-timers accepted: May consider if 2 years strong experience Years of experience REQ: 2 Certifications REQ: ACLS, BCLS and PALS Type of Scheduling: Self Documentation System: Cerner Special Procedures/Unit Details: Highly variable patient population. Mostly surgical and large majority will be babies. Acuity varies as well ECMO - have technicians that run the pumps Nitric Oxide, pacemakers, Chest tubes, invasive monitors Bedside procedures (chest tube placement, cardioversions, etc) No floating to ED or Mental Health

General Submittal Requirements: RTO: Maximum of 7 days of RTO. No RTO is permitted within the first week of the assignment. Licensure: RNs must have an active California license in hand at time of submission. Pending or temporary licenses are not accepted. Local Candidates: Local candidates are not accepted. Candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility are considered local. References: Two references are required. References must be supervisor-level or above, from the unit the candidate is being submitted for, and dated within 1 year of the start date or from the candidate’s most recent employer. Return Staff: Former staff must be separated for at least 1 year before applying to travel positions. DNR / Rehire Eligibility: Rady Children’s and Children’s Hospital of Orange County have merged to form Rady Children’s Health. Any clinician who is a DNR from Rady’s will not be considered for CHOC. Rehire eligibility for a return CHOC traveler who was cancelled from Rady’s must be reviewed by CHOC leadership. Start/Facility Instructions: Required after offer / before start Float Requirements Travelers are first to float. Refer to the specific job posting for exact float details. The traveler must be aware of and agreeable to the float requirements listed in the job description. Modules Up to 16 hours of modules may be required. Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty. Modules are billable when completed during orientation. Any time spent on modules outside of the orientation shift is non-billable. Module time is self-reported.
