What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with IDEA
- Ability to collaborate with general educators, parents, and related service providers
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Dedication to creating inclusive and supportive classroom environments
- Adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and school settings
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering creative and effective instruction tailored to individual learning needs
- Developing and implementing IEPs in coordination with students, families, and staff
- Assessing students’ abilities, strengths, and progress using appropriate methodologies
- Cultivating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
- Managing classroom behavior and supporting social-emotional growth
- Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
