Job Overview Location: Tucson, AZ (on site)Security clearance: Active, transferable DoD Secret clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory to obtain a security clearance.Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD (depending on experience). Responsibilities Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub‑assemblies, and systems in accordance with system requirements. Support product production lines and global supply base to investigate and resolve technical challenges and obsolescence throughout the product life cycle. Interface with other engineering disciplines, non‑technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges. Support and participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies for sound technical decisions. Support technical data package creation, changes, and variances. Utilize mechanical engineering fundamentals, industry specifications, and company design standards to develop technical data packages for military products. Qualifications Required Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an advanced degree in a related field; minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Experience within 3 of the following 4 areas: Applying mechanical engineering principles in the design, development, and/or production of mechanical equipment, hardware, or tooling. Creating, releasing, or updating engineering drawings using a 3‑D CAD design tool. Reviewing and interpreting technical documentation used for hardware development or production. Dimensioning and tolerancing analysis. Preferred Excellent technical writing, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Proven team player and self‑motivated leader with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of industry specifications for technical data packages. Experience with CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3‑D solid modeling software. Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management or equivalent configuration/data management software. Experience supporting manufacturing of missile components and assemblies at low‑rate or full‑rate production. Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or hardware systems design.
