Accounts Payable & Receivable Coordinator

Summary Assist in facilitating the efficient operation of accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities Receive and process accounts payable invoices Match invoices with proper purchase orders; ensure completeness and accuracy of invoices and shipments Apply customer payments to open invoices daily Respond to customers regarding invoice & payment inquiries Perform credit checks on new customers Collect & maintain tax exempt certificate Collections – contacts customer to make collection efforts on past due accounts Prepare all necessary correspondence using the computer and installed software Collaborate with independent auditors File sales & use tax return by state Maintain confidentiality of information in the accounts payable/receivable office Other responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications Associates Degree or including accounting class or two years of related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this Job, the coworker is regularly required to talk or hear. The coworker is frequently required to stand and walk. The coworker is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
