RN - Emergency Department Acute Care

Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic environment that emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service. This role supports relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. Acute care settings include medical, surgical, emergency, intensive care, pediatric, childbirth, operating room, and specialty units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply clinical expertise and technical knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care and make appropriate assignments based on acuity and skill level.
• Engage in ongoing education to incorporate evidence-based practices and promote cost-effective care.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, fostering respectful and collaborative relationships with patients, families, providers, and colleagues.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, privacy standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate actively in professional development, leadership opportunities, and shared governance initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive team culture through mentoring, coaching, and effective communication.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years of acute care nursing if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board.

Primarily 3rd shift with a 36-hour scheduled workweek.
