Job Posting: Contracts, Grants, and Procurement Analyst JC-524623 – Contracts, Grants, and Procurement Analyst (Analyst II) Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Secretary Fiscal Services, the Analyst II performs complex and advanced analytical work in support of the Agency’s grant, state contracting, and procurement program. The incumbent independently manages a full range of grant, contracting, and procurement activities and serves as a technical resource on state contracting laws, policies, and procedures. Working Conditions This position is headquartered in Sacramento, CA. The incumbent will be required to report to the assigned headquarters in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy. CalEPA positions may be eligible for hybrid telework schedules for employees residing in California who meet the telework eligibility criteria. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Desirable Qualifications Proven analytical capabilities to independently make informed and effective decisions. Knowledge and/or experience in the State of California’s grant, contract and procurement processes and procedures. Knowledge of State Contracting laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including the State Contracting Manuals and the State Administrative Manual. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, vendors, management, and other stakeholders. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Planner, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of State accounting, budgeting, and fiscal processes related to procurement, contract administration, and grant administration. Ability to exercise good critical thinking skills to guide decision making, and analyze challenging problems and issues before recommending solutions.
