Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 4th to 7th year Business and Commercial Disputes Associate to join its Dallas, Texas office. This is a litigation focused role handling sophisticated, high stakes business disputes for a diverse client base, with meaningful responsibility across all phases of complex matters in state and federal court. The platform offers the resources of a national firm alongside a collaborative, partner led team structure in Dallas, where associates are expected to contribute strategically, manage key workstreams, and build direct client relationships over time. The Opportunity You will support and help run complex commercial cases from inception through resolution, including developing case strategy, drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery and ediscovery, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, and contributing to trial preparation. The team values clear writing, sound judgment, and practical advice that aligns with client business objectives. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 4th to 7th year Business and Commercial Disputes Associate with: 4 to 7 plus years of complex commercial litigation experience gained at a comparable law firm environment Texas Bar admission, or eligibility for prompt admission in Texas Substantial experience across motion practice, including dispositive and non dispositive briefing Deposition experience, including taking and defending fact witness depositions, with exposure to expert discovery preferred Strong academic credentials and a track record of excellent legal writing and client ready communication Why This Opportunity Stands Out The role offers a strong mix of sophisticated disputes work and day to day ownership within lean case teams, with early visibility to partners and increasing client contact.
