Additionally, occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed based on client needs, so a flexible approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' psychosocial needs, taking into account their emotional, mental, and social circumstances.

• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with students and their families, tailored to address specific goals and preferences.

• Provide counseling and emotional support, assisting students in navigating transitions, stressors, and challenges in their lives.

• Advocate for students’ rights by ensuring access to necessary community resources and support services, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.

• Work as a part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with educators, school nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance student care and outcomes.

• Regularly visit school environments or meet with students virtually to monitor their well-being, assess living conditions, and address any safety concerns.

• Facilitate communication and mediate conflicts among students, families, and school staff involved in the care process.

• Educate students and families about available resources, support groups, and community programs to enhance their quality of life.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client assessments, care plans, and communications to ensure continuity of care.

• Stay current with social work practices, ethical standards, and regulations applicable to the school setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on the unique challenges faced by students within educational settings, particularly those experiencing anxiety, depression, and other emotional disturbances. By working closely with students and their families, the Social Worker will help empower them to regain control over their emotional well-being and navigate life's complexities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, preferably with a focus on educational or community settings.

• Strong understanding of social work principles and aging-related issues, along with familiarity with community resources available to youth.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
